Perfect Potions Megaways

We’re always excited to bring our Foxy fans a new title by SG Digital, especially when it's a Megaways slot. As the masterminds behind such games as 88 Fortunes Megaways and Medusa Megaways, this studio has proved they can really bring a fresh take to this mechanic. 

And I’m happy to be able to tell all me slot-lovin’ Foxy fans that they’ve done it again with Perfect Potions Megaways. This Fantasy-themed online slot brings a bit of magic to a genre that was, to be completely honest, getting a little repetitive.

The grid has six reels, with a different number of symbols landing on each spin. The first reel can show between three and six symbols, the rest, between two and eight, which is a more creative use of the Megaways than we usually see. 

No surprises in the low values symbols, which are the usual card ranks 9-A royals. But the artists at SG Digital really had a chance to let their talent shine with the premiums, which are a candle, a jar of eyeballs, a frog, a staff, and a Wizard, the most valuable premium. He is worth 7.5 times the stake for six, the rest of the premiums award between 2.5x – 6x.

A pentagram is the Wild symbol. This can only land after a Red Potion, which I’ll tell you about in a sec, is activated and can’t land on reel one. 

The Book symbol is the scatter and triggers the Free Spins, but not in the way you’re expecting, me furry friends. Every time one of these symbols lands during a cascade, it’s collected in the Bonus metre and replaced on the reels by another randomly chosen symbol. Once the metre goes over four, the Free Spins are triggered. The metre resets at the end of the cascade.

This game isn't like the average Megaways slot at all, and one of the places you'll notice this is in the betting range. This starts at 0.20 and goes all the way up to 50.00, very high indeed for a Megaways slot. 

The bet level can be set by clicking on the stack of coins in the middle right of the screen. Above that is a settings button where you can turn the sound on or off, and also find the paytable and game rules. You can keep track of your account balance and wins in the bar above the screen, and in the top right is a window that shows the ways to win for every spin.

I have to say it, me Foxy fans, I was impressed how SG Digital took the usual Megaways cascading reels feature and made it central to the game. Here’s how they did it;

Two magic potions, red and blue, can appear above reels 2 to 6 on every spin. If a reel with a potion above it is involved in a win, the bottle will tumble down the reels in the cascades that follow. If it makes it all the way to the bottom of the screen, that Potion Modifier is activated.,

The Blue Potion Modifier doubles the height of the reels, and the Red Potion Modifier turns all the symbols on its reel Wild.

The Free Spins activate when four or more Book Scatters have been collected from a cascade. During this round, any reels expanded by the Blue Potion will stay active, and the Red Potion Wild reel will have a multiplier attached. Additional Free Spins are awarded when three or more Scatters land on a spin.
