Golden Treasure is an online slot developed by Apollo Games. They've gone for a classic feel, and this casino game has five reels, three rows, with only five fixed paylines. The base game provides a real classic fruit machine experience, with no Wilds, and not even a soundtrack except for the sound effects that come with a win.   

The symbols on the reels are exactly what you would expect to see on this type of slot with lucky sevens, and classic fruit machine symbols; watermelon, grapes, orange, plum, lemon and cherries.

With no Wild, players have to land full combinations to get wins. But once this happens, players can gamble the prize to try and increase it. After every winning combination, the lucky fox who lands it can choose to collect the prize immediately, or try to double it by correctly guessing the colour of a card before it is turned over. If they get it right, the win is doubled and can either be gambled again, up to five times, or collected. After the first gamble win, players can choose to gamble all or only half of their prize money. 

When three or more of the Treasure Chest Scatter symbols land, the Free Spins kick in. But before they start, the player clicks on the chests to open them and see how many Free Spins they’ve won. All the chests except one will open, and the Free Spins in them are added together to give the total for the round. I’m not sure what the maximum number is, but I won up to forty Free Spins in one round. 

The Treasure Chest Scatter can still land during the Free Spins so they can be retriggered. The prize money for any wins during the Free Spins is three times what the same combo would award in the base games. As for the rest, gameplay is pretty much the same as in the base game, except wins can’t be gambled.
