Foxy Bingo Cruise from Portsmouth to Bilbao
Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th May 2009
FOXY BINGO ruled the waves aboard the 'Pride of Bilbao' players' cruise to Spain last week.
There was high jinx and hot competition amongst the 130 Foxy bingo players as they set sail from Portsmouth on the four-day 'eyes down' extravaganza.
It was a win-win experience as we enjoyed top class West End entertainment and live music between Foxy bingo from shore-to-shore with a fab clan of CMs, players and members of Foxy HQ.
There were bingo winners aplenty on board as Nannaraspberry scooped a super £320 and best roomie mates, Catkins and Spankster aka Catherine Wotherspoon and Deborah Hiddleston, shared a cabin and then shared a £340 Foxy win in the last game of the cruise before we docked at Portsmouth.
"Our win came just as we thought we'd be going home empty handed...but with lots of memories of a fun time," says Spankster.
Some Foxy sailors felt a little queasy when the waves lashed the bow of the ship...but they had no fear of being washed overboard. Our very own Foxy Lifeguards were onboard to man the lifeboats!
Doriss, Squirreloo1 and Loo 37 teamed up in their special Foxy Lifeguard t-shirts to play on-board bingo. "We were game for a laugh and the Foxy cruise lived up to our expectations...it was great."
our players had such a great time on the cruise, bingo blondie, Jackdl invited her blonde mates to sail with her when she won tickets for the Foxy cruise.
And the girls won the very first game of the cruise sharing £360. "We had a ball. The best thing was meeting people you only get to chat to while playing Foxy bingo. We met Dessycool27 and enjoyed a few drinks and dances with her," says Jackdl.
A hen night on the high seas was Captain's orders for Boomerbaby and her wedding party.
"Goodness knows how, but we kept the hen party secret from Boomerbaby ... she thought we were going on the cruise just to play bingo," says pal Loopylindalou2.
"We dressed up to the nines, played a couple of games of bingo and then partied 'til 3am."
Good old Foxy presented the 'hens' with a bingo celebration cake. And that wasn't the last of the surprises... Liquirice met the girls off the ship and carried on the party in Portsmouth. The bride-to-be will live in Egypt after the wedding next month. Good luck Mrs Boomerbaby.
