Spinions Game Day

The Spinions are cute little orange characters dreamt up by software provider Quickspin. They’ve already starred in two slots, Spinions Beach Party, and Spinions Christmas Party. And now they’re getting healthy in a new release, Spinions Game Day. 

To join them on the pitch will cost players between 0.10 and 100.00 a spin. The 5x3 grid is set in the middle of a playing field, with a handful of Spinions lounging around dressed sportingly. It's all very light-hearted and not very competitive, even when the action moves to the stadium for the Free Spins.  

Taking a look at the paytable, 10 to Ace card ranks are the lower-paying symbols, giving max prizes of 2 x the line bet for five. The premiums: whistles, hats, megaphones, gloves, or boots award between 4 to 8 times the bet for the same. 

Spinion Wild symbols can land on all five reels as well, and in the base game, they stand in for all the regular symbols to help form wins, or form winning combinations of three or more of their own. They also get much more active in the bonus features, as I'll explain in a sec.  

No Game Day is complete unless there’s a trophy involved, and in the Spinions Game Day, it acts as the Scatter. It can only land on reels 1, 3, and 5, but any lucky fox who gets three across these reels will get to play the Game Day Free Spins bonus round. 

When two or more Spinion Wild symbols land on a single spin, they trigger the Passing Wild Re-Spins. The Wilds stick for the duration of the Passing Wild Re-Spins feature, and each new one that lands adds another respin to the total. A football appears on the grid, and the Wilds play a game of kickabout between repins. Every time a Wild gets the ball, its win multiplier is increased by one. Multipliers reset at the end of the round.  

Landing 3 Trophy Scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 gets the lucky fox 10 Game Day Free Spins. Here, any Wilds on the reels at the start of the round or landing during it will stay on the reels but change position between the spins. When there are two or more in view, the football appears, and they carry on with the game of kickabout, increasing their multipliers every time they receive a pass.  

And even though it starts with only 10 Free Spins, this round can go on for a while because a Scatter landing on reel 5 will add five more spins to the total. 

Foxy’s a big fan of the Spinions, and the Spinions Game Day is a great addition to the series. There’s lots of excitement in the base game with the Passing Wild Respins, and when the match moves to the big stadium for the Game Day Free Spins, things really take off.
