Reel Spooky King Megaways by Inspired Gaming puts a spine-chilling mask over the familiar Reel King character. Actually, it's not that hair-raising, so don't fret me Foxy fans; you don't have to be a horror-lovin' fox to flex your paws on this game. All the old familiar symbols have been given a spooky makeover, but the result is more likely to put a smile on your chops than make you scream in terror.

Reel Spooky King uses the standard Megaways slot 6-reel grid, with up to 7 symbols on each reel, and a 4-position top reel. This gives an ever-changing number of ways to win, up to 117,649.  

The usual Reel King pot of gold has been replaced by a bubbling cauldron as the most valuable symbol at 50 x the bet for six of a kind. This is followed by 9 to A card ranks and then the low-paying fruits. All these symbols have been given a ghoulish makeover for the court of the Spooky King. Witch-hats are Wild and replace any of the paying symbols but can only land on the horizontal reel over the main grid.

To play, first, you have to select a bet level from 0.20 to 20.00. You do this by clicking on the stack of coins above the spin button. Landing three or more matching symbols across adjacent reels starting from the left-hand side of the grid grants a win. Cascade-lovin’ foxes will be happy to hear that this feature is active in Reel Spooky King Megaways, clearing all the winning symbols off the reels, with others tumbling down to fill the empty positions, hopefully leading to multiple wins from one spin.

The Reel King trail is also here, with a random number of reels lighting up during spins in the base game, with every win lighting up another. Lucky Foxy fans who see all six reels turn yellow will get to play the Reel King Feature.

In the Reel King, Super King, or Spooky King Feature,  1 to 6 ghostly Reel Kings will appear, spinning mini 3x1 slots, awarding cash prizes, or triggering Free Spins.

Before the Free Spins start, players can spin a Wheel of Fortune to try and win more. This is divided into red and green segments. Green segments award up to 25 more free spins; red ones reduce the number of free spins, sometimes to zero.

During the Free Spins, multipliers increase by + 1 after every winning cascade. These also light up one reel in red, starting on the left. These stay that way until all six are lit up. When this happens, players receive up to three more spins, and the multiplier is increased by 1, 2, or 3.

There’s also a Spin Chance feature for foxes with bad bankroll management. If a player's balance falls below the bet level, they are offered the chance to win one final spin on a Wheel of Fortune game. Here they can win a last chance spin, or if they lose, forfeit the remainder of their balance.
