Money Drop Live

Any of me Foxy fans who remember The £100K Drop on TV will immediately recognise Playtech's inspiration for Money Drop. This superb live casino game is based on the TV show but with a few more added features to shake things up. 

Live hosts keep the action rolling as players first spin a wheel of fortune, and then try to survive the hairraising Drop Zone rounds in an attempt to get their furry paws on some of the potential awesome cash prizes available.

The game starts with the Wheel of Fortune round. Players have seven numbers to bet on. They can bet on only one or more, up to all seven numbers. The wheel is divided into 54 segments, 51 segments for numbers, and 3 for Card Clash rounds that can trigger a separate bonus round.

If the wheel lands on one of the number segments, players who have their money on the winning number go through to the Drop Zone round. Here there are four zones marked A to D. Players divide their stakes between these zones. One is picked at random, and the stakes on the other three drop out of sight. The numbers on the wheel, which are multipliers, will get players into different Drop Zone rounds if they win as follows:  

• 8x: Quick Drop Mode
• 15x: 1 Drop Round
• 30x: 1 Drop Round
• 100x: Two Drop Rounds
• 250x: Two Drop Rounds
• 1, 000x: Three Drop Rounds
• 2,500x: Three Drop Rounds

This means that to pick up the big prizes, players have to make it through multiple Drop Zone rounds.

The Card Clash round is a separate bonus game that can be entered if players place a bet on the Card Clash segment of the wheel. This is a simple high-low card game. The dealer will shuffle a 52-card deck and places it on the table where there are two betting positions, one on the left and one on the right.

Participating players choose one, and when all bets are in, the dealer deals one card to each position. The card with the highest value wins, and players who bet on that position are awarded a multiplier. This happens three times, and players receive awards for any wins or ties they got.

This is one for all you foxes out there who like a little flutter on the side. During the Drop Zone round, both players and spectators of the game can place a side bet on which Drop Zone they think will win.

Playtech has done a great job of recreating the whole game show atmosphere with Money Drop. This, me furry friends, is a game that will have you chewin' your claws in anticipation. Making it to a Drop Zone round isn't enough; you then have to sit and see if you're possibly in for a juicy win, or will stake drop out of sight, gone forever.
