Kopsmurf and Degsg Go Backstage with Jason
WTG WTG to Kopsmurf and Degsg, who were the lucky winners of 2 pairs of tickets to watch Jason Donovan on his UK tour. Jason appeared on Foxy Radio as our first guest star and picked the winners himself.
The lucky ladies were picked from the hundreds of listeners who e-mailed the show for the chance to win a pair of tickets to their local Jason gig along with money-cant-buy backstage passes.
Kopsmurt was chosen as the first winner after correctly telling us that Mike Young was the best man when Jasons Alter ego Scott Robinson married sweetheart Charlene in Neighbours almost 20 years ago. Kopsmurf, who has been a big Jason Fan since his Ramsey Street Days, was delighted to hear she had won and went off to see him in Southampton on May last year. Here is what she had to say:
"I would just like to say a huge thank you to Foxy for choosing me as one of the lucky winners on Foxy Radio. Ive never won anything in my life so I was very surprised to receive the phone call. Having been a big Neighbours fan back in the early days and also having a crush on Scott it was fantastic to win the tickets and back stage passes to meet Jason in person. I shall be counting the days. Before I go I would also like to say that Foxy is a terrific site and Im proud to be a member. Every night is a ball with the fantastic chat hosts, and all the many friends I have made since joining last year. Keep up the great work and a big thank you."
Degsg from Telford was selected as the winner of the best question for Jason competition, a task set by Bingo Manageress Helen at the start of the show. The inquisitive lady wanted to know what Jasons chat name would be if he was to join Foxy, to which he told us it would be Benjy Menlove in honour of his first pets name and his mothers maiden name (were sure you can work this one out too).
"When I got the phone call I couldnt believe it," said an ecstatic Debs. "Ive rang everyone in my phone book, and all my roomies who were listening to the show were delighted too. Now all I need to decide is who to take with me."
