Danielle Lloyd at Foxy Bingo

Danielle Lloyd appears live on a special Foxy Radio show on Thursday July 10th. Don't miss this show.

What are you up to at the moment?

I’ve been working on different modelling shoots. I have got a clothing range coming out and I’ve been doing some TV as well.

Tell me about the clothing range.

It’s called Designed For Love. It launches in September. It’ll be sold online first and will hopefully go into some stores. There’s a collection of casual daywear but I’m also working on a range of eveningwear with the designer Eric Way. It’s going to be really really nice. Really classy.

Have you been enjoying designing?

Yeh, it’s been really good because I’ve had a lot of input into the designs so it’s given me something else to do as well.

Who have you been modelling for recently?

I’ve been contracted to the Star for a long time so I’ve been working with them. I’ve been doing the lads mags. I’m also going to be modelling my own clothes for the label as well.

What was your favourite modelling campaign to date?

Probably Playboy. I think that’s my biggest achievement. Not many English girls get to do American Playboy. I think it’s only Katie Price and me who have done it, so I am really proud of that. I went over to do the shoot in Palm Springs and worked with an amazing photographer over there and they were really nice pictures.

What do you think makes a good model?

I think you have to be confident in front of the camera. You have to be confident and happy and get on with the photographer really well. It’s important to feel comfortable with the people you’re around. I’m a totally different person when I’m in front of the camera. I’m not shy, but I’m less confident when I’m not in front of the camera.

What advice would you give someone starting out in modelling?

It’s really really hard work. People think it’s going to be easy, that you just have to stand in front of the camera and smile, but it is a lot of hard work. You have to do early morning shoots and stuff. It’s a hard business to get into so you have to put a lot of effort in. So, work hard and just keep on at it.

You used to work as a beautician. Do you have any beauty tips?

The first one would definitely be to drink lots of water. I try not to get sun on my face because it can be really damaging, that’s probably another one and also I’d say buying a really good intensive moisturiser is important. I’ve been using a new one called Natralox. I think it’s amazing.

You also have your own health and fitness video. So do you have any health tips?

I just try and do as much exercise as I can, when I can. Even if you’ve only got time to do some at home, just do what you can to keep fit and obviously drink lots of water again.

Do you have a varied exercise regime?

With my job you can’t always get to the gym, but I really love to swim as well.

What are your three favourite fashion labels?

I love Roberto Cavalli. And Christian Louboutin shoes. I’m obsessed by his shoes, I must have about 50 pairs. And probably Topshop because I usually try and vary designer with high street.

Are you a bit of a shoe and handbag girl?

Yeh. I’ve got handbags in every colour to match everything. I bought a new one just now actually – five minutes ago.

What about this year’s Big Brother. Have you been watching it?

Not every single episode but I have been watching it. Obviously there’s been a lot of controversy and stuff so I’ve just been reading what’s been in the papers and trying to catch bits when I can.

Are you enjoying it?

Yeh. It’s good. I really like Kat, the Thai girl, she’s really sweet so hopefully she might win. I’d like her or Rachel the girl from Wales to win. But Kat’s my favourite.

Is Big Brother your favourite TV show?

No. I’ve usually just got MTV on, there’s a programme on MTV called Run’s House. I watch that a lot. I absolutely love Run’s House but I don’t have much time to watch TV.

What do you like doing with your friends?

I try and go to the pictures and do normal fun stuff. We go bowling and do every day things. I try and do as much as I can with my friends, because your friends are the ones who are with you through thick and thin.

What do you like to do on a down day?

I either go for a swim, spend time with friends or shop. Or just go for lunch and try and relax because it’s not very often that I get time off. I do usually have my weekends free and then I get to relax.

What are your three favourite places in the world?

Definitely Dubai, that’s one of my favourites. It’s a really amazing place to go. The weather is always fantastic and the people are so friendly over there, it’s just really nice. I also like to go skiing in Andorra on the border of France and Spain. I usually go there on family holidays to ski. It’s really nice to get away there when you’ve been busy or when you’ve got things on your mind. And then Miami would definitely be right up there because I love Miami. It’s an amazing place to go. I love America anyway. You can really relax in Miami and there’s great night-life and partying as well. It’s amazing.

Are you going out with anyone at the moment? How is your love life?

Extinct. That’s what I’d call it. I’m happy by myself at the moment. I’ve got a lot of work on and I’m going to be going over in the States soon so I’m staying single. I might find a man over there.

Are you going to spend a long time in the States?

No I’m just going for a bit of a holiday, a break, a bit of work, and just to see what happens. I’d like to probably move over there in the future.

What about your dream guy? What would this American guy be like?

I don’t know. Someone that makes you laugh really. Someone fun. And a good body wouldn’t go amiss.

They’ve got to be cute right?

Yeh, definitely.
