Foxys Fifth Birthday Bash in Blackpool

Friday 11th to Saturday 12th June 2010

Foxy turned the grand old age of five this month and to celebrate he held a party to end all parties in Blackpool!

Players, Chat Hosts and Foxy staff descended on the seaside town to the Cliffs Hotel for a weekend of fun, dancing and bingo! And what a weekend it turned out to be!

The festivities kicked off with a drinks reception where everyone took advantage of the free bar! It was a great chance for roomies and CHs alike to put faces to names they've often seen in chat rooms on Foxy Bingo. Also on hand was the chance to get your photo taken with Foxy - well a cardboard cutout at least - which proved very popular!

After numerous drinks it was time for the Foxy feast: a three course meal with countless bottles of wine which definitely went down well!

Once everyone was fed and "watered" (in the loosest sense of the word!) it was time for the night's entertainment. Paper bingo tickets went on sale for the three games of the night where the prizes went up to hundreds of pounds. Silence took a hold of the room as the bingo caller shouted the numbers and players frantically dabbed their tickets. It was great to see the traditional game being played but Foxy Bingo's still number one!

In between the bingo there was singing from Oxygene - a duo who performed all the latest chart toppers and some classics too. Also on the stage was a loudly dressed comedian called Carl Schofield. It wasn't long before he had everyone in stitches and he even surprised us all by performing a rap! Our very own CH Dobs got a mention but that's all we're saying!

The night ended with a disco and everyone strut their stuff into the early hours. Saturday was a free day to explore Blackpool or to nurse your hangover in the comfort of the lovely hotel room! "Thank you very much for a lovely weekend! We had a really nice time and such fun too!" (alias - peachyhun).
